Axolotls are a type of aquatic salamander, meaning they live their entire lives in the water.


They are native to one small lake in Mexico, and have become increasingly popular to keep as pets due to their unique appearance and easy care.


Fun Fact: Axolotls are known for regenerating lost body parts such as feet, gills, and tail.

Axolotl's Care & Maintenance

Axolotls are relatively low-maintenance pets, making them perfect for busy households. They require a tank with clean, filtered water and a consistent temperature of around 60-64°F. They also need a balanced diet of pellets, earthworms, and other small aquatic animals, like shrimp.
